In 1999, the last of the DiSorbo sons took over the family business and brought American Van Lines (AVL) into the 21st century. With innovative ways of thinking and operating, Anthony DiSorbo has since expanded the company to 24 different locations across the nation.
Anthony had a new vision, much like that of his family – to keep American Van Lines on the cutting-edge of the moving industry while holding on to the old fashion values that made the company successful. As the first to introduce in-house computerized estimations in South Florida, AVL was off to a good start. How the company would be broadened on the global arena while maintaining the family values it was known for, was a challenge worth tackling.
