There are plenty of great places in America, from Kansas City to Memphis and North Carolina to get some great eats. If you are taking a vacation or perhaps making a long distance move to one of these cities, be sure to ask about the best places for BBQ. Here are a few suggestions. Arthur Bryant’s BBQ Restaurant
The two-story red-brick storefront, located in the heart of Kansas City, Missouri is considered not only one of the best BBQ joints in the city, but the nation as well. Arthur Bryant’s BBQ Restaurant has some of the most delectable and succulent meat you will come by. In business since the 1920, the place is a true staple in the city and Calvin Trillin called it “the single best restaurant in the world.” With its location at the Municipal Stadium (home to the Chiefs and the Royals) it has become the favorite of thousands in and around the city.
A&R Bar-B-Que
The people of Memphis take their BBQ very seriously and do not compromise on taste and presentation. With all different types of styles and textures when it comes to BBQ, there are some great places in Memphis that yo simply cannot duplicate. A&R Bar-B-Que is one such place. When it come to amazing ribs and complex seasonings, A&R is second to none. The place is a true gem in the city and, year after year, it attracts thousands of locals and visitors with the messy goodness.
The Pit
North Carolina’s offering, The Pit, is an old meat-packing building located in the city of Raleigh. What The Pit does in uniquely merge upscale and casual dining in a way that is nothing short of excellent. The customer service is great and the slow-cook pork is among the best there is. Not to mention the popular hickory-smoked chicken wings, which are dry rubbed with spice and full of flavor. When you find yourself in the Raleigh area, this is a place you simply cannot afford to miss out on.
