Hunting in Greensboro, North Carolina

As a child I had always been a fan of the way early American settlers would live off the land and hunt their own food. When I first moved to Greensboro, NC I loved the environment here, it reminded me of all those stories that I had read in the history books. I had always wondered how well I would fare in such an environment but began to doubt that I would ever get the chance. In today’s society we rarely hunt for anything besides a sale.

All of the things that a man used to do himself can now be done at an affordable price. American Van Lines the Greensboro moving company that moved me to Greensboro had a great driver who was happy to help me find a way to relive my childhood dream.

Before moving here I was not aware that Greensboro had such a variety of hunting styles and locations most of which were kept traditional. Turkey hunting was my first choice because I had always wanted to relive the experiences of the pilgrims during the first thanksgiving. Hunting farms offer a more structured arena for hunting where you can shoot at turkeys in an enclosed space and you even get to keep what you kill. You could also hunt turkeys in the wild but if you are inexperienced in tracking your target you may never even see a turkey let alone kill one. Professional hunters are on hand to aid in tracking turkeys in the wild and go as far as to help you set up your shot for a perfect kill.

Duck hunting is a lot different from turkey hunting in that you are hunting in a completely different environment. Hunters typically hunt ducks in the water using duck calls or decoy ducks to lure the ducks into shooting range and wait behind blinds or a bush until the right moment.
