On May 7, 2010 I moved from my home into a condo. The two movers who assisted with the move from American Van Lines were a great help. Their names are Eddie Robinson and Derrick Jones.

I know this letter is a few months after the move, however I just got some what settled and they were so kind and professional it would mean a great deal to me if you thank them for me again.

I remember it being extremely warm that day. Mr. Robinson and Mr. Jones never once complained and just continued to work never taking a break that I noticed.

Again, I truly appreciate the great service I received and would use American Van Lines again.

Dear Eric:

I am writing to you to tell you how terrific and professional the move with your company went with Mr. Dennis Lewis. It was the first day that Dennis showed to me that his competence when he assessed the move and ordered another truck for my job. He realized right away that the move could not take place in the truck that had been set up for the job. He make the necessary arrangements; and the next day the job was mastered by him in every way. He paid attention to every detail and personally wrapped many of my valuable antiques. (all of which were delivered to me in New York, in perfect condition)

When the move was delivered to New York, Dennis oversaw each and every man and detail. He was able to make some difficult decisions even though, I admit, I begged him to do some thing that he clearly felt were dangerous fro hi team of men as well as for my furniture. The manpower was willing but Dennis said this was clearly way too risky with possibly making very large furniture go to the second floor thru a balcony. he did give me the necessary information to make sure I would get professional and secure help with the oversized pieces without risk to his men or my things.

He was truly a classy and professional gentlemen who exhibited care and knowledge about every step pf the move for me. He even make certain that my furniture would be delivered after the new carpet was laid in my residence in New York. He had complete control and was well respected and responded well with his team as he orchestrated this difficult move.

It is my pleasure to have had dealt with a man who made this difficult and stressful time in anyone’s life easier and without any problems. Dennis was polite and respectful both of my homes and was able to delver all my things without any damage to my newly painted home in New York.

Dennis was not interested in receiving any financial gratuity for himself and a job “well done” but rather said if I had been pleased with his service: I could write to you. It is truly a honor and a pleasure to have dealt with someone who was so professional and accommodating in every way. You can be sure, that he is certainly an asset to you and your company as a representative. Both the change in the fee and his fine services made the traction one I felt extremely positive about in every way. Although , we had to increase the rate to the one we had been originally quoted prior to the job; I left comfortable that it was well worth it and clearly earned for the piece of mind and fine execution with Mr. Lewis at the helm.

Thank you so much for send me such a fine gentleman to do this moving experience and for making sure, even in today’s world, there are still some top notch people who really care and take pride in their job.

I will definitely recommend your company to any of my friends who may be moving either inrta or out of state. Just so you know, you were not the first moving company that was recommended to me. I am certainly glad I made the switch.

I hope this message is received. My husband and I used American Van Lines to move from Plantation, Florida to Atlanta, Georgia and we thought it would be nice to let you know how good your movers were. We left our first home of 13 years and it was a very emotional experience for us.

My worst nightmare was to have movers that were insensitive and cold who didn’t take care with handling our things. I could not have been more wrong with my expectations. Your movers made this move so much easier to handle.

Everything was done for us. While we wept and went down memory lane over the different parts of the house, everything was packed and ready to go before we knew it. When we made it here to Atlanta the guys got started immediately. Before long our new home was set up we were congratulating the guys on a job well done.

I work a new anchor and I’ve had to move quite often over the years and had my fair share of moving services. During my final move from Fort Lauderdale to Tampa (I hope) I decided to go with your moving company.

I wanted to write and tell you what an excellent job your company did in moving my antique furniture to our retirement home in the North Carolina Mountains. I have moved several times in my life and I have never seen furniture wrapped and handled with such care. Hello Matt,

I am contacting you in regard to a recent move when my family was moving from North Carolina to Chicago, Illinois. My husband and I wanted to reach out to let you know how impressed we were with our moving crew as well as our coordinator Dominique Hester. We are no strangers to corporate relocation as this will be our seventh move, and with that have had our share of various moving crews. I have to admit to some concern when we were assigned to your company as I had not worked with American Van Lines in previous relocations.

Stacey and his crew were professional, worked well together as a team, and seemed to go out of their way to accommodate our needs. They came early and stayed late. We had a large move with some significantly large furniture pieces that were of value to us. These pieces were difficult to move into our new home and there was some question if we could logistically get them into our house. When I expressed dismay in not being Stacey, Keith and Danny went back to the drawing board and found a way to get the pieces in. this happened three times, and every time they accommodated our needs. If at any time the crew felt that I was in need of something, they would stop what they were doing and immediately help me. We had quite a large move and yet everything went smoothly and if there were any difficulties they never expressed them. I have never seen a move go that well and a group of people work harder as a team with such excellence. In addition, Dominique went out of her way to make sure all details were covered. She made sure I was satisfied, gave me contact numbers after hours and told me she would be available day or night, what ever we needed. Your group has represented your company so well, that if we had to make another move I would go out of my way to work with your company again.

I’d like to take this opportunity to tell you how much Kay and I enjoyed working with members of the American Van Lines staff to facilitate one of our client’s recent interstate relocations. The move entailed the packing and transport of household goods and an automobile moving from Greensboro to the Seattle, WA area with three additional destinations in Minnesota and Washington.

Unlike most Simple Transitions’ relocations, several members of Mrs. Moore’s became directly involved in the planning stages of the move, making the process more confusing and difficult than usual. Doug McCraw, as moving coordinator, negotiated these challenges with remarkable patience and expertise! None of the members of the Moore family had moved in many years and each one had reservations and misconceptions about the process. Doug very capably handled every request and turned their doubts into praise for Mitchell Brothers!

Larry, Pat and Michael served as packing team for the move and did an exceptional job. The Moore family was very complimentary regarding their level of expertise and customer service. Gustavo joined Larry and Michael for loading the following day which was accomplished with the same degree of professionalism. The entire team met with a barrage of questions from family members throughout the process of packing and loading, and each question was handled with courtesy, patience and true customer service.

Larry and Gustavo handled the transport and delivery to each of the four destinations. Each item was expertly handled and delivered correctly making the entire Moore family extremely happy to have followed our recommendation of American Van Lines. Not one item was missing or damaged during any part of the process and each staff member deserves our thanks and congratulations on a job very well done!

This is the first time simple Transitions has had the opportunity to recommend American Van Lines to one of our clients and our first opportunity to work with your staff. Hi Doug-

The NC Dept. of Transportation hired your company when I was moving from Winston Salem to Greensboro, NC. Your guys (Mike, Tyrone, and Gustavo) came out and packed, transported, and unloaded everything for me on December 11.

Being the manager for several locations of a company, I am used to the fact that customers generally tend to take the time to give feedback on any tiny negative experience, but often fail to call with feedback on the positive. Hence, I wanted to take a moment to let you know how awesome my experience with your company was!!

Moving is such a stressful event, and trying to coordinate your move, utility companies, mortgage company, lawyer, and take enough time off work to get things done is challenging. Had it not been for your tremendously hardworking, happy, positive, dedicated, and otherwise terrific crew…my first night in a new house would not have been near as much of a relief. They showed up bright and early, with smiles on their faces, and kept them all day. It took them until late afternoon to pack up my house and load it into the truck; however, I never heard one complaint, one excuse, or even one word of anything other than positivity. They were genuine guys and had great manners; they were a joy to work with. They worked until 9 pm, unloading furniture, carrying it up 2 flights of stairs, and setting it in place – all without a complaint. They were careful attentive and treated my belongings with care. I was so impressed with both all they did and the attitudes that they did it with. Thanks so much to them for making my move so much easier than it would have been with anyone else. I would like to let you know how happy we were with you and your company while we were moving from Simi Valley, CA to Wixom, MI. Once again, I am writing to thank you for providing me with such an incredible moving experience last Friday, February 26.

As you may remember, this is the second time I’ve hired your company to move me in just 17 months. Due to an unforeseen injury, I had to move out of my second floor apartment to a ground floor apartment.

Once again, I requested Eric because he did such a fantastic job last time, and this time was no different. In fact all the men you sent for my move were fantastic. My move went smoothly and nothing was damaged. They handled my furniture and belongings with kid gloves. This time they packed as well, and nothing was broken.

I want you to know that in the past 17 months, I have received many phone calls from prospective customers who read my first letter. They wanted to know if I was really satisfied and would I recommend your company. I told then I absolutely would, and obviously I was so pleased that I didn’t hesitate when moving this time.

The day before I moved, I was in the supermarket, and I mentioned that I was moving. The woman behind me said she was moving from Plantation to Boynton Beach. She asked me if I had movers, and naturally, I recommended your company. I remember her name was Alice, but I sure wish I had some of your business cards. She told me she would look the number up and make an appointment to have a salesman come to her home. I made sure she knew I was “very” satisfied with your service.

So if you want me to do more than spread the word, perhaps you could drop some business cards off to me in the mail so I can keep some on hand. You just never know where I’m going to find your next customer. At this point, you should probably give me commission. Ha ha!!

Thanks again to Eric and the other two guys. I’m sorry I don’t remember their names, but I would recommend them as well. The three of them made a great team.

Team One consisted of James McInnis, George Lopez and Javier Duque and Team Two included Eric Parish, Elis Leon and Onesimo Carrillo. Both groups were very professional and eager to assist in every way. They went about their tasks with great efficiency and cordiality.

Eric Parish should be specially commended. No task was too insurmountable for him. We had a large entertainment center and china cabinet that could not be moved into the small freight elevator located at the condo from which we were moving. Eric persisted until he found the perfect solution. He had his team totally take the units apart piece by piece at the old site and reconstructed at our new home. My husband and I were amazed because it was very labor intensive and they did it without complaint or hesitation. As you know, I interviewed many moving companies for my Miami to Los Angeles relocation. And although my actual weight came in higher than the estimate, I feel I was dealt with fairly and with a reasonable price quote. More importantly, I hired American Van Lines because of the confidence you projected in your initial presentation at my home. I also liked the fact that you encouraged me to contact you if I had any problems on your cell, and I appreciated that you returned messages promptly!

Your Mover/Drivers, Dennis and Jimmy were outstanding! This is the first time in any of my moving experiences (and I have moved all over the country, and all over the world) where I actually felt a sense of calm. I was in the presence of true moving professionals! Dennis and Jimmy exuded maturity, intelligence, humor, physical strength and endurance, meticulous attention to detail and care, and an almost zen-like sense maximized the packing of the truck, and the ultimate preservation of my belongings.

I haven’t opened every box or inspected every item, but I must say that I was more than excited to plug in my wide screen television, and computers, and other delicate electronic equipment (and even china) and find it in perfect working order!

I also want to thank you for the referral for the transport of my SUV from Miami to Los Angeles. I thank you for aggressively following up on my behalf with the Broker, and I was ultimately very satisfied with the Driver, Mr. Dixon, of the Auto Transport Company. My automobile arrived dirty from the long drive across the USA, but in perfect working order and without a scratch!

I’d like to thank you on behalf of the children, families and staff of Lutheran Services Florida for your generous pro-bono service in providing the truck and movers to pick up and deliver the two-bedroom household furnishing that was donated to the agency for needy families.

This was a generous and unusual donation we could not refuse because of the constant need of the families we serve whose basic needs are often unmet. Yet, we knew that transporting the donation would be a challenge. Thanks for your willingness and generosity in making it happen.

The movers were awesome! I’d like to commend your company on the professionalism and politeness of the movers Robert, Tyrone, and Travis. Also noteworthy is the extreme caution they took to prevent damage to the furniture.

I am happy to say that we have improved the living situation of a single mother with three young children. The smiles on the children’s faces cannot be forgotten when they saw the beds and other furnishing. It was good to hear the mom say “I have been trusting God would provide…but this was beyond what I could ask for.” Isn’t that wonderful!

I am writing this letter to applaud your company for all of the work involved with the recent moving of my belongings. I had used American Van Lines for a local Florida move, having been referred to your company by a satisfied friend of mine. I too was pleased with the results, and when I decided to make a major move this year, I called American Van Lines to assist me. I had a two-part move. In April, my belongings were going from my home in Coconut Creek to a storage unit in St. Petersburg. This was followed by a permanent move of my belongings from the storage unit to New York. My belongings arrived this past Saturday, with all items accounted for and, as of the date of this letter, the only damage so far being relatively minor to one lamp which I believe I can have fixed. I wanted to take a moment to name specific individuals at your company who assisted me all of these months, and to whom should be given a specific thank you for all of their hard work.

Matt Moran was Salesperson Extraordinaire. His professionalism and courtesy from the day he came for an estimate was impeccable. He came fully prepared to answer my questions and provide me with the best estimate possible that American Van Lines could provide. While I admit I was a little dismayed by the total expense involved, I felt that I could trust American Van Lines and so I was willing to pay the extra money for this security. Matt continued to maintain communication with me over the summer, always returning my phone calls within 24 hours. When I discovered that it would take me longer to find a place to live in New York than I anticipated, Matt worked with me to ensure that the estimate would be held for me until I was able to do so. He should be rewarded for his professionalism and communication skills.

Camille in the office was a friendly voice with whom I was in continuous communication while I waited for my belongings to be delivered from Florida to New York. The hurricane caused a delay for delivery, which was unforeseen and this is understandable. Afterwards, Camille maintained communication to keep me informed as to when my belongings would be delivered. There were a few other minor problems in the way that included having to reschedule pickup and delivery which, I admit, did annoy me, but Camille always maintained her friendly professional demeanor, apologized for these inconveniences, and returned every phone call in order to keep me informed as to the pickup and delivery of my belongings. She should be rewarded for her hard work and communication skills.

The delivery men themselves were also professional. My father met them in St. Petersburg at the storage unit and told me afterwards how he was impressed by their ability to load all of my belongings in a way as not to cause confusion with anyone else’s things. The two men who delivered my belongings to me were Dennis and Jonny, who after having worked all day at two other deliveries followed through on their promise and brought me my belongings Saturday evening. They made sure that I signed off on each item and went over each carton with me to ensure everything was accounted for. They were very polite and hard working, and each should be commended for the efforts. The delivery men who picked up my belongings back in April in Coconut Creek should also be commended for their efforts, but unfortunately I have forgotten their names.

All in all, I will say that my experience with American Van Lines has been both positive and productive. The decision to make a move is stressful, and choosing the right company to assist you in the moving of your belongings is extremely important. I would not hesitate to recommend your company to anyone for either a local or long distance move. If I had one complaint, it would be the difficulty of having established a delivery date with me and then having to constantly change it, which caused inconveniences for both my father and me. However, this was a minor problem and due largely to unforeseen circumstances that could happen to anyone. The professionalism, courtesy, and friendliness of all those involved in the move made up for this, and they should be commended for all of their efforts.

I would like to recommend these 3 men highly that helped me with my move. The Driver was Regon.

Moving is arduous at best, but they were asked to address a 5th floor elevator event, which I’m sure is more difficult than on ground. They did so without complaint…When necessary, they helped each other without being asked… They were considerate of my situation, and careful with the stuff to be moved. Their attitude was pleasant, and even fun at times, and I just plain liked them all.

It has been almost two months since we moved our household from South Florida to South Carolina but the move experience, service, and support was so great that I have refused to remove the item to write a “Thank You” letter from my ‘To Do’ list.

My wife and I have moved more than a dozen times over the past 33 years and this move was by far the best we have ever experienced. It was done right, it was done on time, and all the people we encountered were knowledgeable, friendly, and understood the process of a “personal” move. Our money was well invested in American Van Lines…I am never impressed with effort because in the end it is results that really count…and American Van Lines produced very desirable results.

Over the years I have used major moving companies such as Allied and United (and others) as well as moving myself with U-Haul rental trucks. I can truly state that none of these previous moves were better than our move with American Van Lines.

In preparation for this move we interviewed and compared price and service of six different moving companies. I even priced our moving myself using U-Haul but once you consider the “entire process” (packing, loading, gas, time, convenience, experience, etc, etc) it was clear to me that you offered the best price, service, and support for accomplishing the entire moving process.

Matt, while you did an excellent job of providing what we needed to get ready, I have to give special compliments to David Rosado who was the driver and team leader of the moving operation. Again, having moved a dozen times, I can appreciate the work, process, packing, loading, and handling required moving my personal belongings from one location to another. The special care and attention that David and this crew took was outstanding…I felt they gave the same attention to our goods as they would have given their own. On top of all of this, David arrived on time to start the loading and also arrived at the final destination on time as planned.

My special tanks and compliments to you, David and his crew, and to American Van Lines for a carefree and trouble free move experience.

I will be recommending American Van Lines to anyone talking to me about moving.

I made a lot of changes to my service plan in the beginning, but my moving representative Sarah was so helpful and polite throughout the entire process.
