Miami Moving Review

Dear Mr. and Mrs. DiSorbo:

I am writing this letter to applaud your company for all of the work involved with the recent moving of my belongings. I had used American Van Lines for a local Florida move, having been referred to your company by a satisfied friend of mine. I too was pleased with the results, and when I decided to make a major move this year, I called American Van Lines to assist me. I had a two-part move. In April, my belongings were going from my home in Coconut Creek to a storage unit in St. Petersburg. This was followed by a permanent move of my belongings from the storage unit to New York. My belongings arrived this past Saturday, with all items accounted for and, as of the date of this letter, the only damage so far being relatively minor to one lamp which I believe I can have fixed. I wanted to take a moment to name specific individuals at your company who assisted me all of these months, and to whom should be given a specific thank you for all of their hard work.

Matt Moran was Salesperson Extraordinaire. His professionalism and courtesy from the day he came for an estimate was impeccable. He came fully prepared to answer my questions and provide me with the best estimate possible that American Van Lines could provide. While I admit I was a little dismayed by the total expense involved, I felt that I could trust American Van Lines and so I was willing to pay the extra money for this security. Matt continued to maintain communication with me over the summer, always returning my phone calls within 24 hours. When I discovered that it would take me longer to find a place to live in New York than I anticipated, Matt worked with me to ensure that the estimate would be held for me until I was able to do so. He should be rewarded for his professionalism and communication skills.

Camille in the office was a friendly voice with whom I was in continuous communication while I waited for my belongings to be delivered from Florida to New York. The hurricane caused a delay for delivery, which was unforeseen and this is understandable. Afterwards, Camille maintained communication to keep me informed as to when my belongings would be delivered. There were a few other minor problems in the way that included having to reschedule pickup and delivery which, I admit, did annoy me, but Camille always maintained her friendly professional demeanor, apologized for these inconveniences, and returned every phone call in order to keep me informed as to the pickup and delivery of my belongings. She should be rewarded for her hard work and communication skills.

The delivery men themselves were also professional. My father met them in St. Petersburg at the storage unit and told me afterwards how he was impressed by their ability to load all of my belongings in a way as not to cause confusion with anyone else’s things. The two men who delivered my belongings to me were Dennis and Jonny, who after having worked all day at two other deliveries followed through on their promise and brought me my belongings Saturday evening. They made sure that I signed off on each item and went over each carton with me to ensure everything was accounted for. They were very polite and hard working, and each should be commended for the efforts. The delivery men who picked up my belongings back in April in Coconut Creek should also be commended for their efforts, but unfortunately I have forgotten their names.

All in all, I will say that my experience with American Van Lines has been both positive and productive. The decision to make a move is stressful, and choosing the right company to assist you in the moving of your belongings is extremely important. I would not hesitate to recommend your company to anyone for either a local or long distance move. If I had one complaint, it would be the difficulty of having established a delivery date with me and then having to constantly change it, which caused inconveniences for both my father and me. However, this was a minor problem and due largely to unforeseen circumstances that could happen to anyone. The professionalism, courtesy, and friendliness of all those involved in the move made up for this, and they should be commended for all of their efforts.
