Mike and Alicia Martinez exceeded our expectations at destination just as they did at origin. Again, they communicated their estimated arrival date and time. They were prompt, friendly and efficient. American Moving and Storage stands heads and shoulders above their competition because of people like Mike and Alicia. As stressful as moving is, this team put us at ease with the way they treated us and our belongings. We will definitely recommend American to our friends seeking professionals who treat their belongings as their own.

We didn't have a typical house to house move. American had to coordinate with our storage company in Texas and then load and move us to Florida. A few items arrived damaged but American was quick to provide insurance claim forms and explained the process. Driver and moving crew assigned to us were excellent.

Here's a quick look at estimated costs based on home size:

Home Size Estimated Cost
1 Bedroom $2,301 - $4,520
2 Bedrooms $2,392 - $4,849
3 Bedrooms $3,529 - $5,494

Factors that Affect the Cost of Moving from Massachusetts to Ohio

Moving prices can fluctuate depending on the details of your relocation. These are the most common factors that can raise or lower the cost of your move.

  • Timing of your move: Costs are usually higher during peak season, with summer being the busiest time. You may also see higher pricing for weekends and for moves scheduled early or late in the month.
  • Professional vs. DIY: DIY can look cheaper on paper, but it requires you to manage the packing, lifting, and planning yourself. A full-service mover like American Van Lines can be a better value for the convenience and support, since AVL takes care of the heavy lifting and keeps the process less stressful.
  • Exact distance: Longer routes tend to cost more, and the exact mileage between your current home and your new one can also influence your final quote.
  • Size of move: The amount you are moving matters. Larger homes and bigger loads require more crew time and more space on the truck, which typically increases the price.
Getting a moving quote is simple. It's fast & easy - no obligations!
