Jeffry and Mike, the brothers! Jeffrey is married to Mikes sister. These guys were awesome. I hired them through American Van Lines for a cross country move. They’re were both super nice gentleman and make quick work of packing up our home. Jeffry, at one point, says to me; I treat your stuff like it’s my stuff! He was amazing at playing Tetris with all our stuff and loading onto the big rig. There was a mix up between myself and the move coordinator. I have a home office with a lot of computer and high tech gear so I told the coordinator the ti would pack about 20 of my own boxes and she removed them from their packing work order. But unfortunately she also removed them from the transport order as well. I was the last pickup and Both Jeffrey and Mike said there wasn’t likely room enough to make my move! Yikes. But fear not! I said they could get it aboard and their response was “Challenge Accepted”. 😂 They made it all fit like a glove! Great job guys! See you on the other side at the unloading! Drive safe!

Average Cost To Move From New Hampshire to Utah

Your moving quote will mostly come down to how far apart your specific addresses actually are, how much stuff you're moving, and any extra services you choose (think packing, storage, or special handling). For a move from New Hampshire to Utah, you can generally expect costs to land between $3,620–$13,536, and can take from 7 - 18 days from pickup to delivery.

Here's a quick look at estimated costs based on home size:

Home Size Estimated Cost
1 Bedroom $3,620 - $6,921
2 Bedrooms $4,325 - $7,559
3 Bedrooms $5,594 - $8,575
4 Bedrooms $7,566 - $12,239

Factors that Affect the Cost of Moving from New Hampshire to Utah

Moving costs aren't one-size-fits-all, and a few key details can make your total price go up or down. Here are the most common factors that affect how much your move will cost.

  • Timing of your move: Prices tend to spike during peak moving season (especially summer), and moves booked on weekends or at the beginning or end of the month often cost more.
  • Professional vs. DIY: Choosing between a DIY move and hiring a full-service mover such as American Van Lines can make a big difference in your overall cost and experience. DIY can cost less upfront, but you'll be on the hook for the packing, heavy lifting, and logistics, while AVL takes care of the hard work for you, making the move smoother, safer, and far less stressful.
  • Exact distance: Longer moves generally come with higher quotes, and even small changes in mileage between your current home and your new one can affect the total cost.
  • Size of move: The more rooms (and stuff) you're moving, the more labor, time, and truck space you'll need, which usually means a higher overall price.
Getting a moving quote is simple. It's fast & easy - no obligations!

Tips for Moving From New Hampshire to Utah

  • Research your new community early. Before moving day, take time to explore neighborhoods, schools, and local services in Utah. Knowing where the grocery store, DMV, or nearest coffee shop is will help you settle in faster.
  • Create a moving week checklist. Draft a week-of checklist with reminders like emptying the fridge, updating your address, and prepping essentials for your first night.
  • Set aside a "first night" box. Pack a clearly labeled box or bin with everything you'll need right away — think toiletries, chargers, a change of clothes, snacks, pet supplies, and basic kitchenware.
  • Take photos before disassembling furniture or electronics. Snap a few quick photos before unplugging wires or breaking down big items. It'll make reassembling your setup in Utah way easier.
  • Don't forget to transfer medical records and prescriptions. If you're switching doctors or pharmacies, request records in advance so you're not scrambling to find care in a new place.
