My out of state move was actually less stressful because of American Van line. We had them to pack for us the team came in ready with the boxes they wrapped and labeled our stuff. We was told no more than 21 business days to our new location the timeline was dead on. The unloader got the final job done by putting bed, desk and table back together. It was 5 stars for us.

Rasheed was an excellent driver. He was very professional in his coordination of our move with excellent communication. American Van Lines was recommended to us through a Cartus relocation consultant. We moved our daughter from California to Minnesota with a second pickup in Oregon. Rasheed took great care of all belongings wrapping every piece of furniture with care. Everything arrived in great condition and the unload went very smoothly.

I was honestly surprised by how pleasant my experience was with the American Van Lines team -- Rodley + his West Palm Beach-based crew were the BEST!!! Super polite, helpful, accommodating, efficient, and hard working. I cannot say enough good things about these outstanding men. The booking experience was seamless, and I really appreciated the support from our client experience/success manager, Christal. I was not super thrilled with certain aspects of the process (i.e. the large delivery window with little insight into pickup and drop-off days until immediately before, so you have to be a bit flexible) and upcharges along the way (elevators, stairs, shuttle if an 18 wheeler cannot access either of the properties), so a ~$5k job ended up to be more around ~$6k. Regardless, others quoted me ~$6.7-13k for the job, so I was thrilled overall. Highly recommend!

The movers showed up on time and spent 12 hours getting everything carefully packed and loaded onto the truck. They were at the house 6.5 hours away where we were moving the next day by lunch and 3.5 hours later all our stuff was in the house and we began the unpacking process. These three men were professionals and worked very hard to make sure we were happy. I can highly recommend American Van Lines.

Factors that Affect the Cost of Moving from North Carolina to Wyoming

Moving costs can vary quite a bit, and a few key details can push your total higher or lower. Here are the most common factors that influence what you'll pay for your move.

  • Timing of your move: Rates are often higher during peak moving season, especially in the summer. You may also pay more for weekend moves and for dates at the beginning or end of the month.
  • Professional vs. DIY: Deciding between a DIY move and a full-service mover like American Van Lines can impact your budget and your stress level. DIY may be cheaper at first, but you handle the packing, lifting, and logistics. Meanwhile, AVL manages the heavy work and helps keep the move smoother and safer.
  • Exact distance: Longer moves usually mean higher quotes, and even small differences in mileage between your current home and your new one can affect the final price.
  • Size of move: Bigger moves typically cost more because they take more time, labor, and truck space, especially when you're moving multiple rooms of belongings.
Getting a moving quote is simple. It's fast & easy - no obligations!
