The driver, William, and his crew were absolutely magnificent. Also on his crew or Ignacio, Matias, Derek, and Brandon. They were careful with every single thing as they moved it into our house and made sure they put it where we asked them to.

Jeffry and Mike, the brothers! Jeffrey is married to Mikes sister. These guys were awesome. I hired them through American Van Lines for a cross country move. They’re were both super nice gentleman and make quick work of packing up our home. Jeffry, at one point, says to me; I treat your stuff like it’s my stuff! He was amazing at playing Tetris with all our stuff and loading onto the big rig.
There was a mix up between myself and the move coordinator. I have a home office with a lot of computer and high tech gear so I told the coordinator the ti would pack about 20 of my own boxes and she removed them from their packing work order. But unfortunately she also removed them from the transport order as well. I was the last pickup and Both Jeffrey and Mike said there wasn’t likely room enough to make my move! Yikes.
But fear not! I said they could get it aboard and their response was “Challenge Accepted”. 😂
They made it all fit like a glove!

This is the first time I have worked with American Van Lines. Overall, the service is great. They offer very competitive prices, and the drivers also handle the assembly and disassembly of furniture. Although some of my boxes were delayed, the representatives kept me updated in a timely manner and were willing to do their best to help.

Terrible Experience with American Van Lines
I had an incredibly frustrating experience on our move from Dallas to Denver that I want to share. This company should not to be trusted!
*Significant Delay:* Our move was delayed by two weeks beyond the promised moving window. This caused us considerable inconvenience. We were stuck in an empty house with no idea when our stuff would arrive
*Poor Communication:* We called them around five times a day and were repeatedly told they would get back to us, but they never did. We had to initiate contact every single time to get any information about our delivery. They assign a "move coordinator" who basically never calls you or has any useful information. We were left in the dark about when our belongings would arrive. There was a complete lack of communication from their end.
*Third party contractors* Despite being assured that American Van Lines would handle our move directly, they outsourced the delivery to a third-party company without informing us.
*Unprofessional Assembly:* When our items finally arrived, random third-party workers were assigned to unload and assemble our furniture. They did a poor job, leaving us with improperly assembled items.
*Lack of Compensation:* After the delivery, we had to repeatedly call them to seek compensation for the delay. Despite being contractually obligated to compensate us, we have yet to receive anything. I am filing a dispute with my credit card company.
Overall, I do not recommend American Van Lines. Our experience was stressful and disappointing. Avoid this company if you value your time and peace of mind.

Nick Cuffie & his team were very professional. He kept me updated about their arrival & progress. They were great to work with.
The driver, Bruce, I wanted to call out for most exceptional service. My mother 81, and was extremely anxious about sending her whole life's dearest possessions with strangers. As Bruce worked, packed and loaded (which in itself was challenging) he spoke to her and eased her anxieties entirely. I cannot express how grateful I am for that. My mother insists if she ever moves again, she will only use American Vanlines and will specifically request Bruce. I myself want to express how extremely pleased I was with Bruce and the whole experience he provided. Packing and loading was the job, but alleviating and elderly woman's anxiety, that is a whole other character that not many possess. My highest appreciation to Bruce, and definitely 5++++ stars.

I have had a great experience with American Van Lines. Starting with my first call to Ciara the moving consultant who was prompt to return my calls, efficient, and patient while we worked through our changing moving list. To our fantastic movers, Ronald, Jonas, and Alex who were pleasant, courteous, worked hard, and took care of our items on both ends of the move. Could not be more pleased with these four employees and the experience I received with American Van Lines.
With that said, I did not appreciate the experience I received from one employee, Shabrina, in the Quality Assurance department. She was rude, cut me off during several conversations, took days to return my call and simply was not pleasant to deal with.

We requested to keep our goods in a storage in North Carolina while we find a definite place to live. Had some differences related to storage billing and complained to American Van Lines; they quickly called back and resolved the claim to our full satisfaction.

These guys are hands down the best among the moving companies that we used. Alex, John and Ronald are professional hulks. Bursted with energy, they moved our things, 3700 lbs, swiftly and safely out of our place. They’re very organize. Their skills in maneuvering our very large things, that I thought won’t go out our hallway and small door without denting the walls, are superb.
They communicated every step we took to complete this move-out, smoothly. They answered all my questions clearly. Shabrina Smith, our quality coordinator, promptly made the phone calls to ensure that our things are correctly accounted for. Nancy and Terri, two of our moving coordinators, were easy to reach.

From start to finish it the movers made this easy and less stressful. They went above and beyond. Renee scheduled my move and was almost spot on estimating the weight. The movers arrived and Chris was in charge and we walked the house and he was happy I had already boxed everything. Wade the driver was great, so polite and professional and nice. Tried to put my nerves at ease. Jarvis was also great, professional and polite and so nice. They were such hard workers. Thank you.

My experience with American Van Lines far exceeded my expectations. David, our driver, was absolutely incredible and a pleasure to work with during a time that potentially could be very stressful. He was highly professional and genuinely cared about his client. The team of packers he hired were also so enjoyable to work with and they treated our family belongings & home with great respect. I would highly recommend AVL, especially David, for a cross country move. A great peace of mind and so conscientious of every last detail.

Francisco the driver & JR his assistant with American Van Lines from Miami, FL, were just terrific in delivering my huge load of furniture, boxes & Antique Steinway Grand Piano into my small 910 sf apartment in Los Angeles-never thought they would fit my grand piano into the single small elevator in this Historic DTLA building!

I was not super thrilled with certain aspects of the process (i.e. the large delivery window with little insight into pickup and drop-off days until immediately before, so you have to be a bit flexible) and upcharges along the way (elevators, stairs, shuttle if an 18 wheeler cannot access either of the properties), so a ~$5k job ended up to be more around ~$6k. Regardless, others quoted me ~$6.7-13k for the job, so I was thrilled overall. Highly recommend!

The movers showed up on time and spent 12 hours getting everything carefully packed and loaded onto the truck. They were at the house 6.5 hours away where we were moving the next day by lunch and 3.5 hours later all our stuff was in the house and we began the unpacking process. These three men were professionals and worked very hard to make sure we were happy. I can highly recommend American Van Lines.
Jeffrey and his team were AMAZING!! From pickup to delivery they kept up great communication, and were timely and professional. They took great care with my items while moving incredibly fast and asking for my preferences for each room. I'm so glad they were my moving team for this process, because they made light work of a big job! I'd be happy to book any job with them again in the future.

I used American Van Lines to move from New Hampshire to Chicago. The contracted vendors to move my stuff were wonderful to work with. It took just about two weeks for them to make the delivery. Although there was a hiccup with the actual delivery date/time, the situation was remedied with the help from Theresa. She was pleasant to work with and solution oriented. You can tell she cares about the business and customer satisfaction.
Rasheed was an excellent driver. He was very professional in his coordination of our move with excellent communication. American Van Lines was recommended to us through a Cartus relocation consultant. We moved our daughter from California to Minnesota with a second pickup in Oregon. Rasheed took great care of all belongings wrapping every piece of furniture with care. Everything arrived in great condition and the unload went very smoothly.
