⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Mike R. was absolutely amazing getting us set up for our move with American Van Lines. From the very beginning, he made what could have been a stressful process feel easy and actually fun. Mike has such a great personality. He kept it real with us, answered our questions honestly, explained everything clearly, and never made us feel like we were getting some rehearsed sales pitch. The banter was hilarious, and by the end of the conversation we felt like we’d known him forever. Moving from New Jersey to Florida is a big deal for us, and having someone who was knowledgeable, straightforward, funny, and genuinely enjoyable to work with made a huge difference. American Van Lines, give Mike R. a raise. 😂 Seriously, if you get Mike helping you with your move, you’re in good hands. 10/10 experience!

American Van Lines provided a flawless moving experience, helping me relocate my things across the country. Their customer support team was extremely helpful, even during the initial stages as I was finalizing my inventory list for the binding process for the estimate to avoid additional costs due to inaccuracies. American Van Lines employees were punctual on the day of the move and took great care in packing my items. They handled my family heirlooms and heavy furniture with special attention by wrapping them in heavy blankets. My things were more than 1,200 miles away from my house, but everything arrived at the appointed time. All of my things arrived safely at my new home. The movers put everything in the right room. The company’s employees did an excellent job and helped me overcome the stress associated with the relocation. I would recommend these professionals to anyone who wants a stress-free moving experience.

Hiring American Van Lines was the best decision I could make for a four-bedroom household move. Their workers were well-organized and managed to get the job done without any scratches on the expensive stuff. Not only that, they provided great customer support and ended up charging exactly the amount we initially discussed for all the relocation services. I highly recommend them for long-distance moves because they are professional, polite, and competent. The customer support team helped me a lot, too.

I had a great experience with American van lines. They helped me move 5 states for the first time and made it very stress free. When I called to book the estimate, the booking agent was very up front about costs so I didn't get charged any hidden fees later. On the day of the move, the team showed up on time and worked with a professional attitude. They took special care to wrap my delicate electronics and antiques and packed them with lots of other things in the truck quickly. They kept me up to date along the way and delivered everything to my new house safe and sound. They even helped put the heaviest pieces of furniture where I wanted them. I couldn't have asked for better movers and will definitely hire them again if I need to move somewhere else.

American Van Lines rocks! Francisco and William brought my whole house from Florida out to Wyoming and I could not have asked for a better crew. They treated my stuff like it was their own. When I needed to open a few boxes to figure out where things should go, they didn't blink, they just jumped in and helped me sort it out. If you get to pick, ask for Francisco.

We used American Van Lines for a complicated out-of-state move that required our household belongings to be held in temporary storage for three weeks between closing dates. Dealing with their Greensboro regional office was an absolute pleasure. The coordinator broke down their monthly storage rates upfront with total clarity, so we encountered zero surprise fees. When the crew arrived to pack our things, they meticulously inventoried every box and piece of furniture, wrapping our leather sofas and mattresses in heavy protective layers. Knowing our items were stored in a climate-controlled, secure facility gave us complete peace of mind. Delivery was flawlessly coordinated and the final unloading crew worked efficiently without scratching walls or denting a single item. I couldn't ask for better accountability or service!

Choosing American Van Lines was the best decision I made for my recent relocation. I was moving a large, fully furnished four-bedroom house and I was terrified of items getting damaged or lost. Fortunately, the crew that handled my move was top-notch. They were punctual, incredibly organized and treated my home and belongings with the utmost respect. They used extensive protective padding on the doorways and floors, ensuring the house was left spotless. The inventory tracking system they utilized gave me total confidence that everything was accounted for. When the shipment arrived at my destination, the delivery was flawless and the team reassembled my heavy bedroom sets perfectly. The level of professionalism, physical care and efficiency they displayed was truly outstanding. They earned every bit of this five-star rating!

I cannot praise American Van Lines enough for how perfectly they managed my recent move out of a high-rise condo building. Moving out of an apartment with strict elevator time slots, narrow hallways and limited loading zone parking can be a complete nightmare, but this crew handled it like seasoned pros. They were extremely careful not to bump walls, scuff floors or damage the building's property which saved me from any building penalty fees. They packed the truck tightly and securely, wrapping every piece of furniture securely in heavy quilted blankets. The entire shipment arrived at my destination exactly within the promised delivery window and the crew unloaded everything safely with the same high level of energy and care. Their customer service was outstanding, the price was exactly as quoted and the movers were courteous and hard-working. Five stars all the way!

I had an outstanding experience with American Van Lines, and I especially want to recognize our driver, Edward Utley. Edward went above and beyond to make sure our move stayed on schedule during an extremely tight timeline. We had to have our entire household packed and loaded onto the semi truck in one day because the buyers were moving into our home the very next day. Missing that deadline simply was not an option. Edward kept everything organized, kept the team moving, and made sure all of our household items were carefully packed and loaded by the end of the day. His professionalism, communication, leadership, and work ethic were exceptional. Moving is stressful enough, but knowing Edward was in charge gave us confidence that everything would get done on time—and he delivered. American Van Lines is fortunate to have someone like Edward representing their company. I would absolutely recommend American Van Lines, and if you have the opportunity to have Edward Utley handle your move, you are in excellent hands. Thank you, Edward, for making a very stressful moving day go as smoothly as possible!

There were no hidden fees or unexpected surcharges when the final bill arrived—the price matched the quote perfectly. The physical loading crew worked with incredible efficiency, utilizing the truck space perfectly while treating our heavy boxes with absolute respect. Having read several good reviews about this moving company, I booked their services for relocation. It turned out to be an absolutely great experience from start to finish. I did my research online and I compared companies. I decided to go with American Van Lines. There was continual follow-up when I would call them, ask questions, and ask for the quote. As we moved forward throughout the process, it was just continued follow-up on their part. It was very reassuring. The estimate was spot-on. Also every time I needed to add anything, I’d call them and talk to them about it, and they would tell me exactly what it was. There were no surprises. The movers were very respectful of our things and of us and our time. We did a cross-country move. I have a friend I'm going to refer to them right now who's going to also make a cross-country move.

I have never left a negative review before, but after giving American Van Lines every opportunity to address our concerns, I feel obligated to share our experience. While the crews who loaded and unloaded our belongings were professional, courteous, and hardworking, my issues are entirely with American Van Lines as a company. Their customer service was, without question, the worst I've ever experienced. Moving across the country is stressful enough without the company you're paying nearly **$11,000** to making the process significantly harder. Before we paid our deposit, our move coordinator was extremely responsive. Once the deposit was paid, that communication completely disappeared. I called and emailed my move coordinator numerous times and never received a single response. I was also instructed to contact another representative to update our inventory before the move. Again, multiple emails and voicemails went unanswered. Because no one would return our calls or process our inventory changes, everything had to be handled on moving day. The moving crew then had to sit outside our home for nearly **three hours** waiting for approval from American Van Lines before they could begin loading. I eventually had to call customer service myself and complain before anyone addressed the issue. That delay was unfair to both our family and the movers. Communication throughout the entire process was chaotic. Calls to customer service were frequently disconnected, some phone numbers we were given didn't even work, and we repeatedly received conflicting information about our move dates. At one point I was told our pickup would be a full week earlier than expected. Later I was told movers would arrive on Monday, so I rearranged my work schedule and missed an important meeting to be home. No one showed up. Then I was told it would be another day. Ultimately, the company that picked up our belongings arrived on a completely different day that had never been communicated to us. We spent weeks trying to figure out what was actually happening because no one at American Van Lines seemed able to provide accurate information. Another major disappointment was learning that our move was actually handled by **FABRI Distribution**, despite being told during the sales process that American Van Lines was **not** a broker and that American Van Lines would be handling our move. That left us feeling misled. After the move, we submitted concerns and were told an investigation would be conducted. We cooperated fully and waited for the results. We have never received the outcome of that investigation, a follow-up phone call, or even the courtesy of an email.** It honestly feels like the company simply stopped communicating and hoped enough time would pass that we'd give up and not leave a review. The only reason this isn't a one-sentence review is because I want to give credit where it's due. The loading and delivery crews were outstanding. They treated our belongings with care, worked incredibly hard, and were the one bright spot in an otherwise frustrating experience. Unfortunately, great movers can't make up for poor communication, broken promises, scheduling issues, and a complete lack of accountability from the company managing the move. I cannot recommend American Van Lines based on our experience. If you're considering hiring them, I would strongly encourage you to read the reviews carefully and know that once your deposit is paid, the level of customer service may be very different from what you experienced during the sales process.

The reviews for American Van Lines were good, and when I first communicated with them, they sounded very personable. The rep was very proactive and listened to my needs. He worked very diligently, trying to move the schedule around when there wasn't enough space on the truck and they were going to have to get a second truck. I was trying to get everything coordinated in a very fast method because we had to get out of the house for the closing, and I ended up going with another company that I wasn't as impressed with. I had to make a move. But it wasn't against American Van Lines. He even called me back to let me know he was able to get a truck, and he deserves good kudos because he really tried. I was very impressed because the wrapping was unbelievable. After going through everything, I have not found a single item broken. The price was very fair for the distance of the move and the work they did. They came in, took over, and did everything we asked them to do. It was a four-and-a-half-hour drive easily. They had to move our furniture from the house and then put it into storage. But they were on time. They were there when they told us they'd be there and always stayed in touch with me. They let me know exactly where they were, what they were doing and called in advance. So, I'm tickled about that. People should use them because that would be the smartest decision they would make that day.

I just got transferred to a different branch of the company that I work for and was moving from Des Moines to Virginia. I was trying to find a reputable moving company, and I went through a few that weren't so great. My dad let me know that he used American Van Lines when we moved, 10 years ago now, and he really liked them. They have a lot better reviews online, too. I called them up and the rep was great. I would miss her calls a lot, but she would follow up with emails, which I really appreciated. She would always answer my questions on the same day. I was only moving a studio, and I wasn't taking all of my stuff with me. Two guys showed up, went through their checklist of what I was bringing and what they were leaving behind. It took an hour and a half, and they packaged everything up in front of me and took it right out to the truck. They were great. They explained everything to me and had all their equipment to package my TV to make sure it wouldn't get cracked. They did the same thing with some of my other more fragile stuff. I didn't have anything that I was wanting for that they didn't do. It wasn't the same guys who dropped it off but it was the same environment - they were very friendly. They were also very quick with moving all my stuff off the truck into my storage unit. If anybody asked me if they needed a moving company, I would suggest American Van Lines.

They took great care of our things and delivered them in the promised timeframe. The cost was extremely reasonable and worth it. They made our move less stressful by taking care of the heavy lifting. Special shoutout to Jill for being so amazing with the entire process of getting us set up, and also a special shoutout to our movers, David and Erick, who handled everything with care and diligence. We will definitely use AVL again for any future moves. Highly recommend!

The only concern was my delicate set of dishes which have accompanied me since I first started living alone. Every piece was carefully packed and stacked in the correct position so that nothing would shift while being loaded. When I unpacked them later, I had a feeling as if nothing ever moved.

I was afraid it would be scratched along the way or left behind altogether. The American Van Lines carefully measured the space, turned the angle, and removed it successfully, like solving a difficult puzzle. It was somehow comforting seeing this wardrobe arrive without a scratch.

This lack of clarity can lead to confusion and mistakes, which may have consequences during the move. Residents are left feeling uncertain about whether they are following the correct procedures, adding to the stress and anxiety associated with leaving their home.

Recently used them for our move. Everyone was super professional right from the in-home estimation to packing to delivery and setup. They gave a binding estimate and made sure to include everything. The team who came to pack the furniture as well the delivery team were super nice and mindful about our furniture. Everyone talked professionally and did not rush through anything. We had a small confusion on the delivery day with the invoice and the move coordinator resolved it in less than 15 minutes. Great company and people. Highly recommended to use them for the move.

Misha and his team ilia, Thor and Abdul are quite frankly the hardest working people I've ever seen! I felt right away I could trust these guys and when moving that is one of the most important and rarest of qualities. There are so many moving parts happening quickly making moving one of the most challenging experiences. A lot of pressure was taken off us with such an experienced competent team. They went above and beyond moving our most precious belongings with care out of state. I would use them again in a heart beat and highly recommend them to anyone wanting a 1st class, 5 STAR experience. Dan the coordinator was also on top of everything. Thank you American Van Lines!
